PLANNING: Influential title sequences

One film opening that have influenced our film opening, structurally is the 2004 film 'Collateral'.

This opening particularly inspires our thriller opening due to the reason that, one of it's features consists of a rather slow pace, whilst the music consists of a faster beat, creating a sense of suspense. The opening also uses cross-cuts to show the two characters walking, until they finally meet, also inspiring ours:

Another opening that has, in some ways, influenced us is the opening of the American film 'Drive'. This film, also has a rather slow pace, whilst the music consists of a faster beat, also creating suspense, whilst also following the character's actions. The titles are also appropriate for the location and cosmopolitan tone, inspiring us to have the title's of our sequence made appropriate for the professional and formal location of our thriller opening.
The opening also uses a narrative opening to show the titles super-imposed into the beginning of the film, intriguing it's audience.
